The Great Mac N’ Cheese Bake-Off is one of Northern Michigan Wine Country’s most successful and sought after events. Annually, the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, the Wineries of Old Mission Peninsula partner individually partner up with a local chef to prepare some of the fanciest macaroni and cheese you imagine. Each chef has their eye on one of the coveted awards–cheesiest, people’s choice, and best pairing.
This year, Peninsula Cellars partnered up with a new Traverse City restaurant, Smoke and Porter Public House. Chef Henry Bisson created one of the crowd favorites, Smoked Ham with Spinach and Mushroom Duxelle, paired with our sensational mulled Kroupa Farms Apple Wine.
