It’s that time of year again, when bright red cherries adorn the trees all over Northern Michigan. The crowds are beginning to gather for National Cherry Festival, and the tasting room is abuzz with families celebrating one of Michigan’s most coveted crops.
At Peninsula Cellars, we are serving up a tasting room tradition–Cheers To Cherries Sangria! This fun take on traditional sangria, made with our Hot Rod Cherry wine is great for entertaining or cooling off on these hot summer days!
This is a simple to make, and easy to enjoy recipe sure to put a little cherry cheer in all your summer gatherings! Use the recipe below to create your own Cheers to Cherries Sangria!
Peninsula Cellars Cheers to Cherries Sangria
2 Bottles of Hot Rod Cherry Wine
2 Large Oranges Sliced
2 Limes Sliced
2 Lemons Sliced
1 quart fresh strawberries sliced
1 2L bottle of Lemon Lime Soda
Slice fruit, soak in mixture of liquids for 4 hours. Serve cold, but do not add ice. Enjoy!
